Tonights Classic Rock album was Flowers of Evil, by Mountain.  This lp was released in November of 1971 and the 3rd lp by the Band - if you take into account Leslie West's solo lp titled "Mountain", this is the 4th lp in 28 months by one of the greatest guitarist of all time.

Tonights Classic Rock album was by one of the great British progressive bands of the seventies.  We played their 1973 album "Bursting at the Seams", which was considered the break through album for the band  -- their first with Dave Lambert.  The Strawbs led by Dave Cousins started out as a folk and medival band but changed markedly over the years - and continues to be a favorite here on Stonehenge.

This weeks Classic Rock Album was the 1970 lp by one of the bands that defined the era -- Led Zepplin, Led Zepplin III.  Recorded between January and August of 1970 after being composed largely at a cottage in Wales known as Bron-Yr-Aur.  This was their place to get away after the rigorous touring for the first two lps.  Blues, acoustic English folk, Rock -- a true Classic!

Tonight's CRA was by the Dutch band - Shocking Blue and their 1969 release "At Home".
The band is known for their hit single "Venus" but were much more than a one hit wonder. They were led by guitarist Robby Van Leeuwen and vocalist Mariska Veres.  This outstanding record was a CRA request by one of our listeners as well -- Thanks!
