Stonehenge Setlist 1/6/17

Stonehenge Setlist 1/6/2017

Happy New Year from your Stonehenge host - Chris and Jen.  We apologize for not being around on 12/30 but are looking forward to another great year and tons of great music here on Stonehenge.

To start off the New Year - it took sheer determination from Jen to make it into the studio with campus being closed due to inclement weather.   On the other hand Chris ran home to sit and watch the snowfall while listening to our very own psychedelic muse kick off 2017.

CRA for our first show this year --- Yes - Tales of Topographic Oceans.  Classic double lp from one of our personal favorite bands.  This lp was released on December 7th, 1973 and became the first Gold record in England based on pre orders alone.  It went to number 6 in the US and topped the charts in England.

Stonehenge Setlist 12/16/2016

This weeks Classic Rock album was the 4th by the outstanding Long Island, NY band Vanilla Fudge - entitled "Near the Beginning".  Vanilla Fudge formed in 1965 as the Electric Pigeons but by early 1967 they were signed to Atco Records and after their name change to Vanilla Fudge - they recorded their first lp.  Jen was not able to make tonight's show but was kind enough to leave her lp sitting on the front porch for me to pick up and set it to spinning at WREK.  Classic Rock indeed !

Stonehenge Setlist 12/9/2016

This weeks show was our tribute to one of the greats - Greg Lake, who passed away on December 7th - only 9 months since his band mate Keith Emerson passed.  Greg was a founding member of King Crimson, one of the most influential bands of all time and from there went on to co found a Stonehenge favorite - Emerson Lake and Palmer.  Our classic rock lp tonight -- Emerson Lake and Palmer debut from 1970.     He will be missed.
