The Classic Album of the Week was the amazing self-titled debut LP from Hawkwind (1970). This LP demonstrates that Dave Brock and his crew were already nearly fully formed as songwriters and psychedelic warriors at the turn of the decade. It's a white hot LP full of para-noise and smoking guitar from Huw Lloyd-Langton, recorded live in the studio and produced by Pretty Things guitarist Dick Taylor.
