Stonehenge Setlist 2/9/18
This weeks Classic Rock Lp is the 1969 self titled debut LP by the Chicago based band -- The Flock.
The star of the band was violinist Jerry Goodman. The Flock recorded 2 lps before Clive Davis pulled Goodman from the band to play with the Mahavishnu Orchestra, filling a spot that was left open as Jean Luc Ponty was unable to get a US work visa. The Flock reformed for one more 1975 lp before the band split up. There is a very cool write up on the back cover of the lp by John Mayall as he touted the Flock as one of the best new bands in the US.
